The Governor's Mansion Association hosted an old-fashioned gospel singing at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion on Friday, June 3rd. The special guests for the evening were Arkansas' own The Martins. Joyce, Judy, and Jonathan grew up in Hamburg, Arkansas where they began singing in the local Baptist Church. They have earned 8 Dove Awards and a Grammy nomination. One of the favorite moments of the evening was the Governor joining Jonathan to sing the bass part on the old favorite hymn "Just A Little Talk With Jesus". After the singing, lemonade and cookies were served as The Martins, as well as the Governor and First Lady, visited with the crowd and posed for photographs.
