2009 Calendar of Events
The new Mansion gardens will celebrate its official grand opening Sunday, April 13, 2008. The event is free. Guests will be allowed to tour the various gardens, including the Herbary and the Vegetable Garden.
The Mansion gardens encompass more than eight acres. They were designed by P. Allen Smith to resemble classic Southern gardens and to complement the addition of the Grand Hll on the back of the historic Mansion. The design process began in 2006 during the Huckabee Administration. Construction started in February 2007 at the start of the Beebe Administration and took over 1 year to fully complete.
